Friction Master Ceramics and Install

Just wonderering I heard the dreaded squeak and noticed it was time for pads. So I went with Friction Master Ceramic pads... I have not installed them yet but they tell me I will have no brake dust which is great but when they say they are a little harder on your rotors what exactly do they mean.. also feeling my rotors I can feel some really reall fine grooves should I have them turned ??? Advance Auto only charges 10.00 a rotor...

1) There is no such thing as no dust but it will be less.
2) Ceramic pads wear less but wear the rotor more than metalic.
3) If it feels like a record leave them alone and I do not recomend turning rotors. It makes them thinner and causes the to warp easy when hot and they get wet. I only replace. I may cost more but I never have an issue between pad replacements.

I had a set of friction masters on my explorer. I loved them. Many on this site do not like them but I never had an issue. I put them on 6 years ago and had no problems. I just sold the cal and they were about 3/4 worn.

I have been looking at these for my X. They are not much more. Im sure they have fot F150 and would go good with your pads.
