If they are load range E tires then you cant expect the smoothest ride from them. They have a real stiff sidewall because their a tough tire, meant for working. 45psi is alot of air too, maybe try 40psi minimum to improve the ride a bit more.

Yeah, I was gonna suggest trying 40 psi. That is what I run in mine.

Thats kind of the trade off of tires. The harder the compound, the stiffer the sidewalls, the rougher the ride. However, the longer the tire will last. On the other hand, a softer tire will give you a softer ride, with probably better grip in adverse weather, but won't last as long. Pick your poison!

Am I the only one that doesn't run my tires at high PSI levels like that? I've never run my tires (285's-315's) above 30 PSI, and I've never had any problems with uneven wear. If i had run my jeep at levels like that I wouldn't have any teeth left.

Depends upon the load range of the tire, not the size. For a LR E tire with a max of 80, running at 30 on an F150 is a good way to have an Explorer situation. Tire separation or blow-out. With the new TPMS systems, a vehicle with a LR E tire and with a max of 80, the low pressure waring would be set at 46psi.

You sure about that size cause been looking everywhere at stores and websites for that size and the only tires i've found are toyo's at&mt, didn't see that size available on the bfg website just wondering...

Hmm...good points. I guess driving a little jeep is a far cry from a F150 too. Thanks for the common sense.
