Rotation question
Rotation question
Quick question about rotating. On my 4wd, I'm a bit over the rotation limit, and got a 400 mile trip coming up so I was looking to rotate them before then. I did a burnout so my rears have a bit of a lower life percent rating on them, maybe 40%, while the fronts are like 80 or 90. According to tirerack the best method to rotate them would be the rearward cross, or X pattern. Which would be best? I believe I read somewhere rearward cross would be because the tires on front shouldn't have their rotation direction changed.
Well, you should always wait for the smoky burnouts till ON YOUR WAY to get new tires....BUT since you have an itchy gas pedal mashin foot, you should remember to keep your best tires on the front. If you feel froggy, just swap each front tire side to side. Leaves the slicks on the back! Watch for any standing water...you WILL get loose in it...and just remember this...the *** end comes around faster than you can turn the wheel to correct it when it is floating!
