How much will 18x9.5 w/ 4.5 bs stick out?
I am looking at these AR Dominator wheels for a 2007 FX4 with a 2" AS. The data on the wheel is as follows:
Size: 18 x 9.5 Offset: -19 Backspacing: 4 1/2
Tire: Toyo MT 33 x 12.50 or BFG KM2 305/60/18
How much will they stick out further than the factory 20s and will they rub? Also, does anyone know the width and bs of the factory 20" wheels?
I know most people recommend an 18 x 9 with 5" of bs, but these are not available in that size.
Thanks,

They will stick out 3 inches farther than the oem 17 and 18 inch wheels which are 7.5 inches wide with 5.5 inches of bs. I'm not postive about the oem 20's, but I think they may be 8.5 inches wide with 5.5 inches of bs. If that's correct, they would stick out 2 inches farther than oem 20's.

I have a 6" lift, 18x9.5 wheels, with 4.75" of backspacing. Running 305/70 R18 M/T's and mine stick out quite a bit. Mine rubbed a lot, real bad, so I did lots of trimming to both the valence, the chrome bumper, and the inside fender, close to my feet. I love the wide stance, so it was worth it, but a lot of people have a problem hacking into their new trucks. Figured I'd warn ya first hand. That set-up with only a 2" leveling kit, I would assume would rub REAL bad. Like I said, I had to trim mine A LOT, it still rubs a little, and I am on a 6" lift.
Taking off some chrome:
Should also note, my front tires stick out just slightly farther then yours will, due to my lift. Hopes this helps some.

MercedesTech,
Thank you very much. You have convinced me to go with a narrower 18x9 wheel with 5" of backspacing. I do not mind the look of the tires sticking out, but I do not want to have to do all of the trimming. I had to trim one of my previous trucks and never really liked how it turned it.

Glad it helps. Like I said, mine does stick out slightly farther up front then yours would, because of the lift spacers. But, its not more then 1" I would say.
Still going with the same style wheel ?
I actually like my trim job. Was a little nervous going into it, but turned out not half bad. Might have done a little too much on the front bumper, but i doubt anyone but me notices.

Yes the Toyo is one of the most expensive tires on the market because it is 10 ply. I was torn between those and the Mickey Thompson MT's so I went with Mickey's because it was buy 3 get 1 free. Toyo's are also a very good highway tire also. Also check wheelsforless they have really good deals also.

I have 18 X 9 with 13.50 wide tire and its going to stick out almost three inches. So I'd say yours will be around two inches or more. Just because your tire says its 12.50 doesn't mean it is. Some manufacturers make them wider and some make them smaller. Just depends
It's a pretty simple formula actually, just add or subtract the new wheel width and backspacing to the stock wheel specs. Wandell got it right on the head (like he always does ) when he said that the wheels would stick out 3" more than stock 17's or 18's or 2" more than stock 20's.
18x9.5 with 4.5" of backspacing = 2" wider than stock and an inch less backspacing = 3" more than stock 17's and 18's...2" when compared to 20's since they start out an inch wider than stock 17's and 18's
A 13.5" tire will always be wider than a 12.5" tire, but won't always "stick out" further, as that's all dependent upon wheel width and backspacing
