HD wheels in the winter?

Has anyone run their 22" HD (awd) wheels (with pirellis) in the winter? How did they handle the snow?

Are there any issues I should be concerned with with regards to the salt and snow and stuff ruining the finish on the wheels or anything like that?

what melts snow on the roads is corrosive to the finish of your wheels.
Try and use the stock wheels during winter driving

i think those are his stock wheels....i'd get another cheap set of take offs to ruin in the winter...i buy new rims every summer so i dont care if the winters ruin them i had the stock pirellis on 20's for a while and they absolutely sucked IMO

ya the truck is an HD so the 22s are my OEM wheels.

I was thinking fixing the ball joints on my old f150 and driving that in significant amounts of snow would be a lot cheaper than buying a new set of wheels and tires for the HD (and I wouldnt have to deal with swapping them out and the TPMS etc).....but I would still drive my HD all winter during non-snow-storm conditions in that scenario and im not sure I want to do that if its going to wreck the prettiness of my 22s.....

hmph

you should be able to get some cheap 17s...have you checked Craigs List or ebay? I am trying to find a deal on some 20s just because I think the truck will look that much worse with 18s or 17s on it....but might wind up with OEM 18" FX4 wheels as those seem to be everywhere.
