Because all seasons Are basically car tires. You need to be looking at all Terrain!

I would never mount bias ply tires on a daily driver. They tend to flat spot overnite, wander on pavement and wear out quicker than radials.

On a daily driven truck, I think you would be better off with a radial MT like the Toyo MT's or BFG MT's.

i still havent got to see what mileage they are getting.

even for bias ply they are a hard compound tire.... for bias. i wouldnt expect more than 15k out of them.

Probably the best choice for what your asking for would be one of the Michelin LTX tires. I think the A/S is offered in the 275/65/18, but it's not a great tire. But their new LTX AT2 should give you what you need. While it's not overly agressive looking like some of the all terrain tires others suggested, it's agressive enough to get the job done. All while offering a comfortable and quiet ride. One downfall, is Michelins are expensive.

I think it is about time you took a field trip to the tire shop.

I had Nitto Terra Grapplers on a '04 Reg cab 4 X4 and they were about 70% worn out at 30,000-35,000 miles. Worked great in snow though.

Cooper just started selling the LTZ tires in 18". Pretty good looking tire and priced resonable. I was quoted 160 a tire for 285/60/18. I have the BFG T/A KO's right now and love them but I can't bring myself to spend that much money on tires again!!
