Angry Scuffed tire

I'm so pissed, i come home from work tonight and my upstairs neighbor had 3 damn cars parked in my driveway leaving me hardly any room to get by. I went upstairs to tell him to move them so i can get in and go figure he's not home. So i have no choice but to try to squeeze in, and in doing so i clip my back tire on a god damn curb. Not even a week old yet and already ****** up.

So, at $290 a tire i am very very pissed that i may need to get another one. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the scuff out somehow, or am i pretty much **** out of luck?

I'd make sure he had 4 scuffed tires when he got home !! The last time my neighbor pissed me off . I smashed her pumpkin on her front porch.

Dude thatll clean with some simple green and a bristle brush. If not use an applicator pad and buff it out.

Trust me you do NOT need a new tire for that tiny scuff. Ive seen worse on my moms car weekly and I get it clean with Simple Green and a brush or Bleech white if its real bad. Might take a few times but u ll be fine. NOT STEEL brush just plastic bristles.

Just be glad it's the tire and not the wheel, that's a 3 ply sidewall and can take a lot of scuff's. That's why I like a lot of sidewall.

Ok well the simple green and scrub brush did not work, it did nothing. I went over it about 6 times with no luck. I'll throw some tire dressing on and see if that does anything to cover it at least.

Two seperate threads on the same little scuff on a tire ???

Sorry that it happened bud, but really, I don't see the big deal. Its a tire.

Anyways, tire dressing should cover it up. get some good stuff and apply it liberally. After awhile, I am sure it'll just slowly fade away and will become harder to notice. Its just easy to see it right now, being so new.

A tip for next time, if ya don't mind. If you are entitled to a parking spot, what I would do is get a jack out, put it under the drive axle of one of the cars, and move that POS out into the middle of the street (not your car... so who cares ? ) park your truck safely. Then maybe move the other car kinda closer if your feeling like a nice guy (i'd leave it in the street). Another fun one, just go out, jack one car up, put stands under the drive axle, but do it just slightly above the ground, so it'll be hard to notice, but the tires wont be able to move the car. Someone will jump in, be ready to go, and just sit there and rev.... going wtf ?? . At the very least, park your truck blocking the driveway next time you get home first. Make him find other parking.

I guess the reason its a big deal to me is because this is the first set of nice, very expensive tires i've ever bought. And to have them for only a week and then scuff one up is pretty aggravating. Yeah i know its just a tire, but its a big, nice looking tire, especially along with my wheels, and that scuff is an eyesore. But oh well i suppose i'll get over it lol.

Anyways, i apologize for making two threads. I'm going to stop responding in this one and just use the one that i have in the cleaning section.

Oh and thanks for the suggestions on how to get back at that SOB!!! lol.
