Approximately 3000 miles ago, I serviced the truck just before heading on a 350 mile drive. Just serviced today - Checked the pressure in the tires. and they all were 20 lbs past max
64 lbs!! Max rating is 44 lbs.
Now I can't believe I had my head up my a$$ last service - I mean , that's just bad if I did this. Mannn, I don't think so , I couldn't have, could I? Hell, anythings possible I guess. BUT , how else could this happen ?
Could tire temps vary the pressure that much? Tires were room temp when I serviced. This time when I serviced , the tires prolly weren't as cool..
So did I f^ck myself here or could the gauge be that far off. I think it's one of those digital "Rictor's"..
BTW - I check that pressure guage against a good MILTON gauge that I just acquired. It's right on the money.
I hope I didn't hurt the tires - There warranted for 70,000 miles I guess. Made I should measure for uneven wear in the center of the tread. It doesn't look bad or I would have already..
Idunno, I think I did this somehow - GEEZZZ!
Well , rides allot better now - Feels like I lost about 100 HP tho

Never-mind , talking to my kid on the phone - She informed me that 64 = 44kilos. I said , no it doesn't. Crap , now I have to call her back, she was close - She got me to find the answer anyway. 64 PSI is actually equal to - 44 996.453 011 kilo-pond/square meter. The Digitized Air Gauge must have changed it's settings 2 services ago some how. Figures.
There's my answer - I knew I'd figure out before anyone here did, so no biggie fellas..
The truck didn't ride noticeably rough - Fairly new tires/ Bilstein shocks mustuh picked up the slack for that one.
Oh well - Later rubber heads
