2004 Reg Cab 2WD V8

Hey guys,
I'm new to the site, and am already in need of some good advice. I purchased a 2004 f150 for my son last summer, and realized after 40000 miles those Hankook Dynapros aren't going to cut it anymore. Not only are they crap tires, they just don't seem to fit the truck, nor fill out the wheel well. It seems as if ford threw some Focus wheels onto a truck . I believe the tires are 235/70R17. Anyways, I need you help in some opinions for a new set of tires. He wants to go for an offroad look, but isn't going to lift the truck (maybe some kinda bulky all-terrain). At this point ANY advice helps, since I know a thing or two about cars but not too much about trucks. Thanks very much for the information!

Welcome
BFG KO/AT`S are great tires. I`ve got them on my truck with over 40`000 miles and still have lots of life on them. A bit pricey but well worth the money.

Toyo AT`s are are also good and good for the buck. Got these on my wifes truck . I`m very please with these 2 brands

Also put a leveling kit in front to level that baby out.

The BFG AT KO, Nitto Terra Grappler, Toyo AT, Pro COmp Xtreme AT, **** Cepek Fun Country FCII or Mickey THompson ATZ tires would be great choices. I'd go with a 265/70-17 (32x10.50) if he is gonna leave it stock. If he adds a 2 or 2.5 inch leveling kit, a 285/70-17 (33x11.50) or 305/65-17 (33x12.50) would look great.

Thanks very much for the info guys. I'm looking into adding a leveling kit. The site I'm looking at says "The 66-2050 strut extension provides 3” of lift which gives clearance to add up to 35" wheels and tires to a new F-150," which sounds really good to me. The only brand I saw were ReadyLift, Trailmaster, and Air Lift. Any suggestions? haha. Thanks again guys for all your help

I'd go with a 2 or 2.5 inch Autospring kit. Readylift products seem to be really overpriced.

Go with what wandel said. 2.5AS and 285 or 305`s . Wandel is the man when it come to spec`c.
