Backspace question again.

What backspace will work with both a 2.5 AS level kit and also a 6 or 8 inch lift that will be done in the future. Wheels are 20x10. Or do i need to get 20x9 wheels? I dont want to buy wheels twice if I can avoid it. I will be using 305/55/20 tires with the level kit then 35x12.5 with the 6" lift. I don't want the wheels to stick out to much if I can avoid it.

Thanks again.

I'd go with 20x9 inch wheels. 5 inches of bs is most common. Just about any reasonable backspacing will work with the leveling kit but some suspension kits neeed a certain amount of bs.

Hey Wandell, you seem good at this math stuff. If I use a 20x10 with 4.5 backspace, how much will the wheels stick out compared to 18" stock wheels its a 2008 f150 4x4.
thanks for the help.

A 10 inch wide wheel with 4.5 inches of bs is gonna stick out 3.5 inches farther than your oem wheels.
