35's on a 2WD

If I got a set of OEM 20" wheels and put 35's on them and then put them on a 2WD, where would they rub? I know a lift will prevent them from rubbing but where exactly would they rub?

They would rub on the front valance piece. I am not 100% sure on it but my best guess by looking at others with 4wd and 35s is that they had to lift the front end with at least a leveling kit. Others may chime in with a different answer though.

They will probably rub just about everywhere, mainly at the front and back of the wheelwells (front and rear).

So its the overall diameter of the tire that causes the rub. Hence the lift raises the fenderwells above the widest part of the tire/wheel so thay do not rub. I wonder if anyone here has ever put 35's on a 2WD and posted pictures. Can any of you ever recal seeing such pictures?

This guy did it with a custom ordered front spacer and rear blocks. I don't know how he got everything bolted back together with that big of a spacer up front. He also hasn't posted on here in a long time. I hope his balljoints didn't break from having so much stress on them. Anyways, to be safe, if you want to fit 35's you really need a suspension lift or a body lift with a level kit. Or, you can just get a level kit and stick with 33's.

I know I will need a lift. I plan on lifting. I am wondering more just out of curiosity. Thanks for posting that link. I posted a reply, maybe he will respond if he is still around.
