how many highway miles can i expect out of a pair of 37' nitto mt's while rotating them every 4000 miles??
oh and i usually drive at about 85 mph in the texas heat if that makes any difference

 

these are NOT good highway tires. They are loud, and wear quick. Be prepared. There are other tire options out there that look bad *** as well, but last a lot longer.

You can expect roughly 25-30K outta them, MAX. Everyone is different and driving conditions are always different. I have herard some people saying as little as 10-15k.

They are probably the best looking tire IMO. But I went with the Pro-Comp extreme M/T and am very happy. Also would consider the MT Claws, and the Pro-Comp Extreme Terrains. Just to throw out other ideas.

 

I love the look of the Mud Grapplers. If i didnt drive so much highway i would have gotten them.

Instead i opted for the BFG KM2. These tires have better road manners but still look badass. They have a similar tread pattern as the grapplers also.

 

i agree, you shouldn't really expect much more than 25k, and thats being generous. Baja Claws might wear a little fast too. the Bfg KM2, toyo M/T, or Pro Comp Xtreme A/T would probably be your best bet if your concerned about tread wear.

mSaLL150, whens your lift and tires going on? your truck with KM2's is gonna look pretty bad ****

EDIT: not sure if they come in that size, but check out the Cooper Discoverer STT too, similar to the toyo. i'll probably be putting on a set of these next week sometime

if you want them to last your gonna need to rotate more than every 4000 miles. the most i ever read outta a set, was 34k on a f250 reg cab, but the guy claimed he rotated them every 1000 miles i think thumper said he would have gotten 25k or so on his last set (if i remember correctly)

A mud tire is designed for offroad use, not at highway speeds of 85mph in the heat. Even though the BFG or Toyo MT's may be better on the highway as far as mileage is concerned, I would still not want them for daily highway use especially in the hot month's or in heavy rainstorm's like we get in South Louisiana. For look's it's hard to beat an agressive looking mud tire on a truck but for all around use it's hard to beat an all terrain. A show truck or someone that does a lot of offroading by all mean's go with the mudder's. Just my 2 cent's!!
