Replaced Pads, Problems...

torkum, what rubber hose? the one that connects to the caliper and transports the fluid to the caliper? if it is a necessary step, i will go back and replace that as well.

Thats the one and I would replace it to be safe. The easy way to take it off from the hard line connection is to cut the rubber close to the crimp and put a socket on it.

is this a dealer only part, or is it available via advance, autozone, etc?

I buy them from local CarQuest. You should be able to find one at any parts store.
