Installed new tires, cupping in 4k...

After 60k I replaced the General Ameritrac's on my 06 SC. I went one size larger, 265's, and installed Continental CrossContacts. I had the tires balanced and the front end aligned and after 4k the tires are showing signs if cupping. I'm in sales and 95% of my driving is at highway speed. The Generals I took off wore perfect the entire time.

Any thought??? Thanks!

Sounds like the alignment is off.

i thought it was the opposite for cupping? to low of psi. harder for the tire to keep its shape at higher speeds...

I had the same issue with my old tires and I was told it was due to worn shocks. Got new tires and new shocks and tires are wearing fine after 10000Kms.

Yep, it could be the shocks.
