Wheel size help

I own a 2005 Ford f150 xlt Supercab. I have 265 70R17 generals with steel wheels. I would like to upgrade to better stock wheels. I've been looking on ebay and they dont have much of a selection for 17" wheels but have a lot of 18" wheels. Can I buy 18" wheels and tires and just put them on or will I have to change other things too? If I can put 18" wheels on what is the biggest tire I could go? Thank-You!

if you throw a leveling kit on it, a 305/65/18 looks damn good. you can put 18's on it, just remember bigger tires will throw off your speedo. or you can run 35x12.50 too with a leveling kit, bone stock i think 285/65/18's are the biggest you can go.

im up in Phillips, i got a really nice set of stock 20's with tires for sale. tires got maybe 4000 miles on them, got the lugs and all chrome center caps. they looked really nice on my truck, i just lifted it and there sitting in the garage. if your interested, i'll let ya have em for 750 bucks, they need to mounted and balanced though, had to get the sensors out.
