first off good luck in iraq and come back safe,
second yes u will need a 6" suspension lift to fit 35"s and just a body lift to fit 33"s.
i recommend 20"s on 35"s if you get the suspension lift.
or 18"s on 33"s if you get just a body lift.
hope this helps.

First off stay safe over there and thanks for your service.
There are various opinions on which 35's to run, depends on how much you want your dad spending on them. I've run both the Pro Comp Xtreme AT's and now running the Pro Comp MT's. Loved the AT's and got great treadwear out of them. They were stolen when I had a tad over 13k miles on them and they showed little to no wear, easily would have gotten 40k-50k out of them. Had the MT's for a month now and love them, they are definitely more aggressive looking then the old AT's. Can't give any kind of treadwear report as I only have a couple hundred miles on them so far.

Personally as for wheel size I prefer more sidewall on my tires so I'm running 18x9's with my 35's and think it looks great. Backspacing really tells you how much your wheel will stick out or suck up under your fender. The higher the backspacing the more it tucks under, lesser means it'll stick out past your fender more. Wendall is really the man when it comes to these issues so hopefully he'll chime in here and help you out.

you'll be able to fit a 35" tire with a 3" body lift, alota people around here have done it with no problems. you might have to crank the torsion bars some and trim the valence just a little though if it rubs. from what i remember, i dont think they make a moto metal 951 in a 5x135 lug pattern, but there are alota other good looking wheels out there to choose from. 18's and 35's usually look pretty good together though, nice balance of rubber and rim.

for tires..it all depends on what you want. the most popular all terrains out there are probably the BFG a/t and the pro comp extreme a/t. If you want something more agressive..the bfg KM2s are really nice, along with the cooper discoverer STT, toyo open country MT, and so on.. your best bet would probably be to figure out what rim and rim size you want, then search for 35" tires available in that rim size and get what you like the most.

and of course, thanks for your service and stay safe bro!

I agree. 35's on an 18 inch wheel would look great with a body lift or a suspension lift. I also don't believe the Moto Metal wheels are available in our 5x135mm bolt pattern. I'd suggest a 10 inch wide wheel with 4.5 inches of backspacing. BS is simply the distance form the mounting surface of the wheel (where it bolts to the hub) to the edge of the rear lip.

Hey Nickolas.....

First off stay safe over there and thanks for your service.
X's a million !

Hey those MM 951's are some great looking wheels ! Only thing is (and I don't know if this will matter to you) but they are SO popular, that your liable to see them everywhere you go. If you check out the "Show off your wheels" thread, you will see a set of 951's on every page.

As for whether to go with 17"s, 18"s or 20"s..... I "slightly" lean towards 17"s and 18"s, with taller rubber, on a 4wd truck (or even, in my case, a 2wd which is going for a rougher, off road look, with AT tires).
20"s don't look too bad either..... But I think they look ultimately bad-*** with 37"s .... or 40"s :-) That' just looks though.... you have to have the power, gearing, and gas to turn them :-)

Of course it all comes down to personal preferences. so whatever you do, if YOU like it, then it was the right decision :-)

Be safe, and thanks again,
Fish

Ya forget what the poster above said, 3 inch body and cranking the torsion bars and you can fit 35s easy. I personally have done it, now I have the procomp xtreme m/t and i love them. Also I have the **** cepeks, mine are the polished steel, but they come in chrome and polished black.

Just what i have and looks really good on our trucks, good luck with the search and let us know what you go with!
