Just recieved a SAFETY RECALL NOTICE FOR MY 2005-2006

Ford has stated in the Mark LT and F150 5.4L
The brake booster vacuum hose connection to the intake manifold may as well over time and lose retention force. This condition could allow the hose to detach from the manifold, resulting in loss of power assist and increased brake pedal effort......etc so on and so on

Ford motor company has authorized your dealer to replace the brake booster vacuum hose, free of charge (parts and labor).

Any one else receive any of these letters????!?!?

I received mine last week. I dropped the truck off this morning and they had one part left. I am lucky since I have to haul a trailer out of town this weekend. It took them 4 hours to do the job.

Got mine the other day...

Scheduled an appt for this morning to have it done. The guys at my local dealer had all the right parts, and were able to get the job done in a day. I had to leave the truck there all day because the engine had to be completely cool before they could attempt the vacuum line replacement. When you schedule this one, it's probably not going to be something you can wait on unless you want to spend the day at the dealer looking at all the new models and fighting off salesmen. $0 out of pocket to me for this one, but I had them do some other PM, coming up on 50k on my '05 super-crew, definitely needed a front end alignment, was about to get into the fabric on the inside edge.

Got mine last week as well. Plan on making an appointment tomorrow. Ford is going to be very VERY busy for the next few months.

we've done about 50 of them so far, techs hate this one big time. No room to get there hands in there and engines are hot and burning them, knuckles and hands are getting cut up. They say this recall sucks to do big time.
