Time to replace my orginal 2001 tires, suggestions?
I have a 2001 4x4 extended cab flareside. My original Goodyear's are about done (only have 45k on the truck). I don't want to add any lift or level to the truck and have two questions...
1) If I stay with my stock rims, 17" (265/70-17) what is the max tire size I could put on them?
2) If I upgrade the rims to 18", what is the max tire size I could put on those new rims?
I really don't want to mess with the suspension, I'm just trying to get a beefier tire (and new rims if the budget allows)
Thanks!

Well you can clear 285/70/17's without doing anything!
Now Im gonna ask, why dont you wanna level the truck? Its a simple task just cranking the stock torsion bars to level the truck then you can run some 305/65/17's

It's free, basically. Locate the torsion bars and follow them from your lower a-arms back underneath the cab. There is an adjustment bolt and cam at the end of each one. You just turn each torsion bar preload adjustment bolt up an equal number of turns untill you reach the height you want. Then get the front end aligned.

Nothing to it really!
