oem wheels

why can i fit biggger tires on my truck with oem wheels then i can with after market ones. and am i able to buy aftermarket wheels that are the same size as the oem wheels.

they probably have a different backspacing/offset

Exactly. BS and wheel width are just as important to fitment as the size of the tire itself. There are a few aftermarket wheels close to OEM specs, but not many..
