Hey Wandell, or anyone....
I'm happy (and somewhat relieved) to say, that I've just about made my mind up, on several important decisions.... Sure about my paint, and blackout scheme. Sure about my wheels. Sure about my exhaust and CAI. Sure about my Bilstein shocks. Sure about the blacked out headlights (whatever path I take to get them).
So the one last thing that I'm not quite sure about is this;
Tires ???
Quality wise, I think BFG AT's, Nitto TG's, and Pro Comp's, (and several others) would all be good tires.
But when it comes to size, extra height concerns me from a performance standpoint, and extra width concerns me from the potential for rubbing.
I had considered BFG AT 285/70-17's..... then started to get hyped on Nitto TG 295/70-17's....
But now I'm starting to wonder about both the BFG AT, and Pro Comp, 305/65/17"s ? Plenty wide, and because of being 65 series, they are actually just a hair shy of 33"...
They both recommend a minimum wheel width of 9"..... and it just so happens, that my Pro Comp 7005's, are available in a 17" x 9", with a BS of 4.75"......
So Wandell, or anyone who might know, will 305/65-17"s, mounted on the Pro Comp 7005's, fit on my 2wd F150, with a 1 1/2" to 2" level, without rubbing ???
Damn I'm getting ancy over here ! :-) Bet you guys will be as happy as I am, when I finally get this dang thing, so I will quit tripping on every detail ! :-)
Thanks,
Fish
