WASHINGTON (AP) -- Ford Motor Co. is recalling more than 655,000 Ford F-150 and Lincoln Mark LT pickup trucks to fix a hose that could affect the vehicles' braking power.
The automaker is issuing the recall of 2005-2006 versions of the trucks with 5.4 liter 3-valve engines. This is according to a posting Wednesday on the Web site of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Ford spokesman Wes Sherwood says more than 600,000 of the trucks are in the United States and about 50,000 are in Canada. About 1,500 are in other countries around the world.
Ford (F, Fortune 500) says there have been 11 minor accidents and no injuries tied to the issue.
Dealers will replace the hose at no charge to consumers. Owners are expected to be notified in late June, and the recall is expected to begin in July.
For more information, owners can contact Ford at (800) 392-3673.

i put in my vin for my 06 screw and got zip no recalls so i think im in the clear .but what exactly is the problem is it in the front or rear brakes .could this be why so many pepoel complain of that squishy feeling in there brakes like i do (will be installing stoptech stage 2 kit soon as it gets here)
i got a recall notice on my 96 crown vic a few weeks ago. it was for the cruise control switch fire thing. i know im at least the fourth owner. it was a mass cruiser originally. im still not sure how they found me.
yea I show no recall too. like fifty said we won't show a recall till late June.
This was covered a week or so ago. Do a search on the subject, there are several threads if you want to read more about it. It is the vacuum line going from the brake booster. It can get blown off if there is a back fire, then you have no power brakes.
