I am completely stock, 2006 XLT supercrewcab 4.6L 2WD. What is the largest tire i could put on with a 3 inch leveling kit in the front? what about width too? I want a real agresive tire. any ideas? Thanks

This picture is perfect with the palm tree and the sun setting on the rims.

A 4x4 would go right through that.

Sweet ruts! lol. I did something similar a few years back. I had an underground creek open up under the driver side of my truck while I was driving through a pasture. Left half of the truck just sank to the drivers side window. Broke two tow ropes and burned up the tranny in a toyota 4WD trying to get it out. Finally took two chains and a couple of Z71's to get it out and both of them were pulling with all they had. LOL

I'd suggest a 9 inch wide wheel with at least 5 inches of backspacing and a 285mm (11.50 inch) or 305mm (12.50 inch) wide tire.

Nah, thats what happens when you go muddin in a 4x2. My advice is just save the money on the tires and kit, trade your truck in and get a 4x4. Just my .02

If you won't do that however, try the new BFG M/T, but I would suggest the A/T because your truck is a 4/2. Wandell, don't you think that is a big tire for his engine size? I mean, won't he lose some power becuase of all the weight of the tires?

They are both 33 inch tall tires. How much power he loses will depend on what gears he has.

I'm not too sure how big you can go. Mine has a 2.5 kit on it and Nitto Grappler 285/65/20. Wandell is a great source for answers though.
