XD or American Racing

Just when you all set me straight about backspacing and offset another question arises. I had my heart set on the XD Monsters (black). Love the look.
Now while looking for a fair price online I come across the American Racing Thug. Very similar look. Anybody have a thought on this. The Thug is "teflon". Does this mean easier to clean. I am concerned about teflon flaking off. In short, same price, similar look. Which wheel has a better track record.

Thanks

I love my thugs, easy to clean just wipe off, teflon seems to be holding up fine.A little hard to clean in between spokes but not bad.

Personally, I like the look of the monster's better. The teflon is supposed to make the thugs easier to clean however.

I vote monsters. I do not think the thugs look anything like the monsters. they look more like the xd Diesel to me. I do like some of american racings wheels though but I did not like the backspacing offered on most of those wheels. they mostly offer 4.5 inch backspacing which I did not want. so I went with the mosters. my monsters have 5.7 inch backspacing and come out just to the edge of my fender flares. if I had got 4.5 inch backspacing I would have ended up with a tire that stuck out an inch past my flares. and if you do not have flares expect them to stick out alot more. I am vary happy with the monsters I got. they do not look bad even when they get dirty. although I would not mind having teflon it is easier to clean and I doubt you would have peeling issues.
