Bigger Tires and Towing Concern

Kinda new so deal with me.

I want to do the 2.5 leveling kit and and put some 33 BFG A/Ts under my truck on either 18s or 20s. I was wondering what effect this is going to have on my truck while towing my 21' weekend warrior weighing in loaded at around 8,000lbs. Im talking stability, and powerloss, I know gas is gonna go out the window. Getting up some of these hills in SoCal is already kicking my butt. Thanks.

Oh, and any tire and black wheel combos you guys wanna recommend or share pics of would be great!!

I'd stick to some 285x65x18 BFG AT's, close to 33 inches tall for pulling that much weight. These should clear on a 4x4 in the front without leveling. I'd try them out pulling the trailer first and maybe level the truck later on. Lifting the front may cause you to have to add a helper spring in the rear for towing.

I agree. Or maybe a 33x12.50-18 which is the same height, only an inch wider.

I tow on 33's all the time. I dont think my rigs are anywhere close to 8k, but other than the power loss of having a bigger tire, I cant say I noticed much difference. However my AAL makes a HUGE difference towing.
