I plan on getting 305/70/16 BFG All Terrains for my Stock 02 Supercrew 4x4 XLT this week but I have a few questions before I do. What are the cons to these big of tires? Will my speedo be off when I install them? or any other guages for that matter? I know il have to trim my bumper thats ok but im sure these tires will be better than my stock tires with no tread... Will there be any rubbing at all at fully turned? Just need to know cause I was about to get them but my dad stopped me and gave me a bunch of BS reasons. Thanks

 

How much your speedo off depends on what your oem tire size was. Mine came with 255/70-16's and I replaced them with 33's. The speedo was off 5 mph at 60 mph. Like you said, you will have to trim the front bumper's lower valance if you use a 10 inch wide wheel, but that is it.

 

Will the 285/75/16's work ok?

 

Both will work. Both are about 33 inches tall. The 305's are just 20mm wider.
