Backspace and wide wheels
Backspace and wide wheels
I feel like I'm beating a dead horse with all the backspace posts here, but after going through pages of posts, I'm still uncertain if a 20x10 wheel with a 5" backspace will fit on a stock F150. Most of you guys are "big truck" guys with small lifts or levelling kits, but if I were to do anything height-wise, I would lower the truck 2"/3". Where are the rubbing issues usually experienced? Would this wheel fit with reasonable steering stops? And how does the Ford Racing Lightning wheel fit the '04+ with 7.125" of backspace?
I understand this wheel will stick out further than stock, but I plan to use fender extenders to give it a wide, sporty, aggresive look and keep the wheels tucked under the fenders. Assuming there aren't blatant conflicts with the steering/brakes/fender clearance with this wheel.
This is the wheel, and it seems like a good deal:
BTW, it's for a 2wd F150 Reg Cab

I assume you have an 04-08. If you do, that 20x10 is gonna stick out 3 inches farther than your OEM wheel. You need a lot more backspacing for a lowered street look, like the Ford Racing wheel.
