Harley 22s

I have a set of 22" Harley Rims on their way to my house. I know the Harley F-150s have the Pirelli Scorpions on them from the factory. Anyone know a good place to get these tires? Or do I have another better option? I think the size is 275 45R22. Is this the only size i can place on the rims?

i'd run a 305/45/R22 .... its almost inch and a half taller and will fill the wheel wells better.

The oem Pirelli's are pretty bad. Just about anything will be an improvement. I'd look at the Nitto's, Toyo's and Falkens.

Look into the Nitto 420S tires in a 285/45/22 size with an overall hight of 32.1"
you wont be disapointed in the look or performance.
They retail for around $250usd a tire if your looking in the right places...

yes i do have the stock perelli's on my 22's (sorry about the delayed post).... and they stink. I'm probably going to end up with the Goodyear Fortera 305/45 or a General Grabber UHP 305/45 .... hopefully have those on my the end of march if the weather breaks!

The vast majority understand what 250 means without the "usd"

Sorry could not resist.

I don't know much about tires... what does going to a 305 or 285 from the 275 actually mean?

In the metric sizing system, the first number is the width of the tire in millimeters. The second number is the aspect ratio which is the tire's height in relation to it's width.
