I have an '01 F150 with 3 inch body lift and then an extra add-a-leaf spring in the rear and cranked torsion bars in the front...
I currently have Trailmaster 315/75/R16 tires on my truck, with the add-a-leaf and cranked torsions I have a little more lift and some more room for bigger tires. I've settled on the Super Swamper SSR 35.00x14.50x16 tire that will fit on my existing wheel.
My question will the 14.50 fit on my truck or should I just go with the 12.50's? I'm not worried about possibly trimming to make the tires fit... the original owner already trimmed a little bit for the existing tires...
any comments would be appreciated, thanks

also, are there any of tires around the 35 inch diameter range that you've had that have had good wear and had a good experience with

 

I'd stick with 35x12.50's. As for treadwear, you can do a lot better than Swampers. You can easily get 60,000 miles out of a quality all terrian tire like the BFG AT KO's.
