I'm looking to get 18" wheels (MB Predator, Razor, or 72) and the biggest size tire I can (03 Screw 4x4), I'm going with Terra Grapplers I think. I can figure out how to crank the torsion bars, but will DT crank them for me? And what size tire would work best, I don't want to cut anything and I absolutely have to crank the wheel all the way to park my boat. Thanks.

DT will not
If you are gonna run a large tire/wheel combo, you are gonna have to trim a little plastic off your front bumper's lower valance. It's just because of the way it's shaped. Almost everyone here has had to do it and it is not a big deal and not even noticable. I have some pics in my gallary of mine. As for a tire/wheel combo, I'd suggest a 18x9 or 18x10 inch wheel with 4.5 inches of backspacing and a 33x12.50-18 or 325/60-18 (33x13.00) tire.
After doing some more research, the 18 inch tires are all 40-80 more each compared to 17" and I think I can accomplish the same look by going with a 285 or 295/70-17 (196 each) on a 17x8/17x8.5 (I think that's my only option based on my bolt pattern of 5/135). I like the 70 series for that more tire look. By the way, I'm only using the Discount tire site and Nitto website for my info since that's my only option at getting the Nitto's. Would this setup be recommended?

Thanks for the advice again. Just got back from DT. Looks like I'll be going with an 18x9 rim and a 285/65/18 Terra Grappler. That's basically a 33x11 right? I wanted the 325/60 but the wife put a stop to the torsion bar crank (I shouldn't have explained it, she loves the current ride since we travel a lot and pull a boat). This should still look ok right? Or is there an inbetween size I should look at? My other option was the 285/17/17 but they seem almost identical in size.

Thanks for all the advice, if you have a minute, could you explain backspacing to me and what it does? I notice when I punch in numbers to the wheel calculator for varias rims I get a different backspacing. Is that how far the wheel and tire "stick out" from the wheel well? I tried the search but couldn't get a good answer.
