Isn't it amazing how people lie to get a sale?

I received my 20's 2 days ago that were suppose to have been taken off of a truck at the Ford dealer immediately after the sale. They had so much brake dust and other crude that the wheels had to have a few thousand miles on them. The wheels are in good condition. It just make me so made when people do that.

Were these an ebay sale? If so, enlighten us as to who the "great" seller is.

No, unfortunately they were not on ebay. The buy was from an individual that I found on an off the wall classified on the internet. I spent time cleaning them up today and actually turned out pretty nice. There was no damage to the wheels, just dirty and lots of brake dust. I guess I shouldn't complain because the price was to good to pass up.

So, you got them for a great price and all you had to do was clean them up? Sounds like you don't have much to complain about. FYI, it does not take very many miles for the brake dust to build up. Less than 500 city miles will do it.

It just a disappointment that someone has to tell a lie to sell a set of wheels. I most likely would have bought the 20's anyhow if they told me that the wheels were a little dirty with some brake dust but have no damage. I was manly venting my frustration.

To answer the question on excessive brake dust it's those cheap pads ford is using. I put some ceramic pads up front (at 500 miles) and the wheels stay nice.

I got my takeoffs off ebay. The ad said they had 5 miles on them, but I doubt there were even that many. There were mint. Sorry about your bad luck.

I don't consider it bad luck, just a bit of aggrevation. After cleaning the wheels up a bit I wasn't disappointed.

Ceramic brakes should not squeak, but they will wear out your rotors much faster as well as possible warp them. I just picked up a set of Power Slot Cryo rotors with some CarQuest blue pads. No dust and probably one of the beter rotors on the market.
