Talking procamp

Well I will be needing new tire in about 6 to 7k miles and I'm looking at what size tire to go with 37x13.5 or go with the 40x13.5. Also would 4.88 gears be about the right size for 40s?

will 40s even fit your setup?

if you go with 40s, then 5.13 gear ratios would be better.

Well I'm think about letting my friend do a SFA swap if I do. If I do I think I will go with 40s. I do have 4.88 in now and my speedo is 10 over so I'm thinking maybe 40s will put my speedo closer to being on.

I'd want at least 4.88 gears with 40's.

Would the 4.88s put the speedo closer to being right?

gears are about getting your power and milage correct, not your spedo. just have your spedo recalibrated be the dealer to fit your tires and it'll be dead on. 5.13s would be good for any tires 40"+.

Yeah, if you go with 40's, 5.13's would be better. Also, I'm not sure if a dealer can recalibrate for a tire/gear combo that far from stock.

I don't think the dealer can recalabrate them eather. I don't know I see what goes on. He has a friend that builds rock crawlers and he uses 5.13 so he is going to talk to him and see what he says.
