Ok im not totally stupid but have been looking at the TOYO Open Country M/T’s On Tiredeals4less.com but I don’t know what size to look for. I currently run a 305/50/20 but what is that? I don’t know. This is my first 4x4 only my second truck so maybe someone out there can help a brother out so I don’t look like a idiot when (the guy’s) talk tires

A 305/50-20 basically a 32x12.50 tire. I'd suggest going with a 305/55-20 (33x12.50)

I just switched myself from 305/50/20 to 33/12.5/17 and it added about 1 inch all the way around. It definitely fills the front wheel well up. I had it out today testing the limits in the snow and had no problem with rubbing with the wheels cut hard and I don't have the front lifted.

dl129 - what kind of tires do you have?

Have you noticed a serious decrease in gas mileage or road noise? How much did you pay for the tires?

That is my exact truck and I'm totally gonna buy those tires

Any noticeable rub during off-roading?

To convert tire size:

Example: 285/70/17 = 32.7x11.22x17

Divide 285 by 25.4 = 11.22 (tread width)
Multiply 11.22 x 70%(aspect ratio) = 7.85 (sidewall height)
Multiply 7.85 x 2 = 15.7 (total sidewall)
Add 15.7 + 17 (rim) = 32.7 (tire height)

Or you can search for a tire size conversion chart online.
