seriously at least half of the lifted vehicles in CA have Toyo MTs. pretty disgusting, everyone has them. I vote KM2s, they are the better tire anyways IMHO.

Not to make your choice even harder but you should also look at the Cooper STT

I just got my KM2's and I love them, really quiet mud tire. Either way both are great tires

I'm stuck in this comparo too. If the KM2's came in a 37x13.5 it wouldn't be an issue. I'd like the toyo's but the weight is a turnoff, they are 20lbs heavier per tire than the bfg's

I believe they are made of a harder compound that greatly aids in the long tread-life of the Toyo's. I'm assuming that's where the extra weight is coming from.

i'm thinking about getting the km2 305-60-18 on my moto metals with a leveling kit...how many miles do the km2 last roughly? I don't want a tire that will wear quickly..

Someone would have to be doing some serious driving to find out.

I like the KM2's. The Cooper STT was a good tire for the money also.

Edit: the 12.50 was a plus for me fitting 37's without rubbing.

I'm going to be at the same height, just with the rize kit to get there. In person how do the 12.50's look, hard to tell from your pics if they'd look skinny in person. I'm seriously thinking about goin with the same tire as I have the 4.6 and the lightweight tire might do me better.

Wonder if anybody has tried the km2's on ice..I'm guessing they are going to suck for that with only one sipe across the lugs.

I was in the same boat and had a hard time choosing. I finally decided on the Toyo's and have not been disappointed yet. I think both are great tires and both should get you quite a bit of miles on them...To push the Toyos though they have been out on the market for a long time and have proven to get up to 50K miles out of them (with proper care). The KM2's which seem to be a great tire and got great reviews as well have only been out for less than a year.
Either way you go you get a GREAT and expensive tire!
