Question Lift Kit But Undecisive on Tires

I have a 2004 FX4 and am thinking of going with a 3" body and 2" level kit. I was thinking of 325 x 65 x 18 Cooper STT's or BF's. Should I go bigger? Any suggestions?

I'd go with that size on an 18x9 inch wheel personally.

First off don't get a body lift..you just wanting to do this because its cheap??, just go with a Fabtech 6" or if you don't want to go that high just put a Rancho 4" kit on. Shoot just put your level kit on and put 35's on anyway with stock rims .. Go with BF's KM2 35" my friend has them on his chevy and they rip!!

I'd go with a 2 1/2" leveling kit and put on some 305x65x18 BFG AT's which are a 34" tire, these will work on your stock wheels. You can squeeze on some 35x12.5 tires but it will be a little tight.

You can fit alot of 35x12.5R18 tires with just a 2.5" level kit....the only problem which isn't a real big problem is if the tire has big lugs they may or may not rub on the up A arm at full lock........it all depends on what tire your going to be getting....305x65r18 would be alright they're 33.6" but it all depends on what type of tire you want...Here is a calculator that will give you overall size of tires you just got to put in the specs....http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Ok good. If I go with a 2inch level kit, will I be able to run 35x12.5x18 BFG KM2's? The only thing about a 2 1/2 inch level is that I dont want that high look in the front. I really like the KM's but if the 2 inch level wont be enough then I will go a different route. Thanks again!

Also what about 325x65x18 BF AT's? Will that size fit with just a 2 inch leveling kit?

THey will fit but a 325mm wide tire is too wide for the OEM 18x7.5 inch wide wheels. A 35x12.50 is pushing it, I wouldn't go any wider.

If you don't want that high look in the front then get Autospring's 2 1/2 kit up front and Autospring's 3 inch block for the rear that replace's the stock 2 inch blocks. This way you'll sit anywhere between a 1/2 an inch to an inch taller in the rear. I have the same set-up on my truck and sit about 3/4 of an inch taller in the rear. Possibly, there are a few other members that after installing their leveling kits the front is just a hair taller then the rear (like a 1/4 of an inch). Not a big deal barely even noticeable but I like the rear just a bit taller and thats why I have the 3 inch block.

The rear was on a slight decline in that pic so thats why its looks level but when on level ground it's about 3/4 of an inch higher back in the old bed. Thanks for complement
