my friend has a 03 flareside f150 4x4 it came stock with the 17" wheels. he is wanting to know if he can fit a 16" wheel or does he have to stick to the 17s. people around here keep telling him he can only fit 17s?

 

I suspect the limiting issue will be brake clearance. I suggest that going with a larger rim is no problem, however, going with a smaller rim will present interference issues with the calipers and drums. If in doubt, try one out.

 

Yes, you can fit 16's on the 97-03's.
