difference in size

on 17" wheels, is there a difference between 285/70 and 33/12.5? I just put a 2" leveling kit on my truck and they said i can put up to 33" tires on there, what exactly is classified as 33's?

A 285/70-17 is basically a 33x11.50 tire. The metric sizing of a 33x12.50-17 would be 305/65-17.

Here is a 2wd with a 2.5"AS leveling kit and 285/70/17 (32.75"X11.5"). I have no clearance issues.

Yeah, a 305/65-17 (33x12.50) should fit using the oem wheels.
