i have a 98 with 285 bfg ats, i like them a lot. i have 3.55s and it was a little more sluggish but i have burned out with them. only once at the price of the tires. as per performance gain, i gained more traction in snow/dirt/mud, a lot more than the old 30's. i can go a lot farther in 2wd than b4 and in 4wd the traction in snow is awesome as well as off road. but they are not the best tire for a mud bog, you wont be invincible. but you can go through a lot. i havent been stuck yet and i use my truck off road as much as on. you can see how they would look in my gallery on the 97-98 style.

No, I really didn't notice much difference going from the oem 30 inch tires to 33's.
