I vote Bridgestone AT Revo's i have those i go off road alot and have been in some deep mud and they just pull right out. really quite too. Although this is my 2nd pair they lasted me 46,000 miles

I think these are the greatest AT tires and look the best too.

the only thing i didint realize about my revos is the weight difference... i had coopers on before hand and they were 35 max psi and these are 80 max psi.. im running 45 right now and think its good.. but the weight increase slowed my truck up from start when i get on it.. it just poured here today and they did spectacular when i hydroplaned.. i fet it but they didnt move a bit.. 55 MPH limit and was bookin in the pouring rain at 68 and they were great.. did u decide yet... i love these but im gunna try the BFG's next time.. my fathers friend just got them... 31's and they look pretty good

FWIW, I recently put a set of Firestone Destination ATs on my truck. They are really quiet and handle nicely. I can't complain about them so far.

The Discount Tire dealer talked me into the BFG ATs. They are OK, but I've already noticed in the first 100 miles that my mileage is suffering pretty badly. I'm thinkin it's the tire weight.

I'm seriously considering going back to a P metric, versus an LT since I commute 50 miles a day in this truck. The Revo and the Firestone Destination both come in P metric in my size.

Luckily they give a 30 day exchange policy.

I can't say for load handling on the pre KO BFGs I had... But they did wear good. I had them mounted on a Jeep CJ-7. Not much to haul around there.

I tow / haul a LOT with my truck, and my ATs have never given me a problem. My tires are LT285/70R17D. Meaning load range D, Light Truck tire in size 285/70R17. There is nothing I would be willing to do with a half ton that these tires won't do...

On tirerack.com the BFGs come to over $875 for the cheapest ones with the cheapest shipping. On 1010tires.com they were over $1300! That doesn't even include mounting, balancing, etc. Where do you guys shop!?
I bought mine at National Tire and Battery. I got all 4 mounted, balanced, with road hazzard, 8.25% sales tax, disposal, shop fee, blah, blah, blah, for $940.00 for 4 of them.

Are the BFGs really that much different (better) than the Pro Comp ATs? I've just exhausted a set of General Grabber AT2s that wore faster than I wanted, but performed very well for the first 25k miles. They look like a cross between the BFGs and Pro Comp ATs.
Yeah. The Pro Comp tires wear out super fast from what I have seen. Never owned a set, but a buddy had a set on a Jeep Wrangler. He managed to squeak 20K out of those tires... I would NOT recommend them... (excuse me while I put on a flame retardant suit, I KNOW I have to have annoyed some Pro Comp fans now...)

The P metric Firestone IS significantly cheaper.
You want to run Firestones? Go out and buy a Pinto instead. It's safer...

I used to work for Firestone. The separating treads on the Wilderness AT was NO surprise to me...

Air the tires up first. Also did you change tire size at the same time? Are you accounting for that difference?

I have found that the tire dealers air the tires up to what the door jam on the vehicle says (35PSI for the F150), BFGoodrich suggested when I asked them about it, to keep mine aired up to 42psi on the street. This HUGELY improved my milage.

I have to admit I haven't checked the pressure, but they feel like they are pressured up pretty high. As in I can feel every little thing on the road surface versus the floaty, forgiving feeling of under inflated tires.

I'll verify this weekend.

I know my milage dipped with the BFG AT, not because of the brand or model, but the size of the tire. I went from a 28" tall tire to a 33" tall tire... Makes a BIG difference... My engine is definately out of the sweet spot on the highway.
