New rubber for stock 20's

I'm tired of searching........LOL, I'm looking to replace the stock bologny skins(skorpions)with a good AT. I've seen recommendations for 305/55/20's, 285/65/20's, or just stay stock size. These are for a '06 FX4 Screw, leveled. White truck, and prefer raised white lettering. I'm only familiar with the bfg's having the white lettering other than the Pirelli's.

Could you please give me pro's and con's on the sizes and tire manufacturers. I'm pretty open to any tire as long as it is a quality product.

Thanks!

I'd go with the 285/65/20, sure it's a little narrower than the 305 but it's significantly taller and would fit your stock wheels a little better. Oh and go with the BFG all-terrains

Either of the sizes you mentioned will work fine. As for tires, if you want white letters I'd suggest the BFG AT KO's or Toyo Open Country AT's. Both are excellent tires.

Go with the BFG All Terrain in a 285/65/20 on your stock 20's, I think it would look great, wear like iron and you will like the performance. I've got a 2.5" level with aftermarket 20's and really like the setup. No rubbing at any angle and with a 285 width they don't hang out of the wheel wells or rob your truck of perfomance even though they are almost 35" tall.

Thanks guys, I've had BFG's on a previous F250 and liked them other than they seem to pick up stones.

BTW guys, nice rigs!

I was in the same position and decided to go with the 285/65/20 BFG's.

Goodyear makes a 275/60/20 with raised white letters, but I wouldn't buy it, poor results form owners.

Yep, those prices are about right....that was the only bad part. The tires have been great for me so far, excellent traction in the mud. Looking forward to winter with these tires. They do pick up rocks, no doubt about that. From what I have seen from other people that have had these tires, they do seem to last a long time. They wear well....

Go with the BFG AT KOs, great in the snow and some mud. I have about 75,000 kms (46,000 mi) on them and they are good for another 25,000 kms (at least).

Try the Tire Rack, should be about $310 per tire and shipping is usaully around $115 to most places. Got mine mounted and balanced locally for $50.
