ABS light is on !!

2000 F150:
Few days ago driving with the wife she asked about the ABS system. We were on a gravel road so from about 20mph I did a panic stop. The ABS "pulsed"
like it was designed. Forward a few days. I notice my ABS dash light is always on.
I checked the Owners Manual and got the "if ABS light stays on have it checked"
warning.
Anyone have experience with this. What most likely would it be?

Most likely its one of the wheel sensors, but without getting it scanned you don't know. Autozone can't read ABS codes with there scanner, you will have to go to a shop for a read.

mine just came on today. the only thing i could think that it might be is that i hit a railroad crossing at speed and it was kinda rough. wonder if that would knock a sensor loose. how much will ashop charge to read that?

Wink abs light

there is a sensor on top of the rear differential that is prone to going bad...it has an electrical connector, and one 13m bolt holding it in place...remove both and pull the sensor out and put a new one in...it takes only a couple of minutes, and about 25 $$...good luck
