Lightbulb Extreme MT

Has anybody ran these tires yet with a 2.5 level kit?

LT305/70R18

http://www.procomptires.com/xtrememudterrain.html

I am trying to decide between these and the ProComp MT tires that are

35x12.50

I am not trying to kill my power either so I have read a lot of peeps are running the 305 BFG's. Thanks for any recommendations.

Not to be too off the topic. But they didn't get the best ratings in Petersen's 4wheel & Offroad magazine's mud tire shootout a few months ago. For the money, I'd go after toyo, or bfg mtz. They got much better reviews. I'm looking for the shootout right now to show ya.

Just FYI

i thought i remember them getting good reviews. if i remember right they were dissapointed at first until they realized they weren'rt in 4x4. but i may be wrong about that. those are a sweet looking tire. they look to me like they would be an amazing tire.

Thanks for the reply, ill try and dig up that article. What about overall tiresize? Are we talking about 1-2mpg loss running 35's over 33's? Or is there a sig power loss? I def like the look of the 35s over the 33 . Only thing I have modified is the muffler which is now a Delta 50 series. I do plan on an Edge tuner down the road if this helps on the decision process.

The OD is almost 35" and section width is about 12". You'd have to watch upper control arm clearance as it will be VERY close.

Yeah, they will fit with a leveling kit on a 4x4, but they will probably rub the control arms at full steering lock.

Hmm. So pretty much the same effect as running 35x12.50 I am having the AS 2.5 put on this week. I was leaning towards running 33's but the 35s look so much meatier!!
