I know the stock wheels are 18", but how small diameter can I go and still clear the big disc setup? I would like to do a 16", but don't know if it will fit.

17's are the smallest and some of them had trouble clearing the brakes. Test fit them first if you go with 17's.

 

my dads 05 FX4 came with the ugly 17's stock. In 04 and 05 the 18's were an option.

 

Crapp, I was afraid of that. I was just thinking of some Classic II's or something simple. Another reason I wanted to go smaller is that those friggin 18" tires are so mucho expensive, I thought I might be able to get a smaller wheel and a nice tire for the same price as just the tire in 18".
