ABS Light?

Hey fellas, I noticed after I got hit my ABS light will come on after getting on an off-ramp and braking, or a short stop. It never did this before, even after some intense braking, and other things, so why would it start now? My axle shaft is bent, and the berrings are shot (some other stuff too I don't have the list in front of me) but why would it start now, did the Hit and Run effect it then?

search all the other ABS light postings

theres a good chance the accident damaged a sensor used by the ABS system

Mine just came on after I put in my new fuel filter.. then i heard a weird noise, turns out it was my ABS pump or something like that.. cant remember what the guy told me exactly, but now i'm drivin without ABS for a couple of days

Not sure how the ABS could have been affected by the filter swap..

Brake dust from pads or worn disks can get on the front sensor and cause the light to come on. Even if you have rear ABS only, the truck has sensors on the front wheels. Try cleaning those sensors and see if the light goes off.

O.K. found out what the light was on for...They said at the stealership that it was the Drivers side front Speed Controller?! Where is this located and how hard is this too fix, do they brake or just get dirty or somethin'?
