Wanting to put wider tires on OEM wheels

I've got an 05 XLT Screw 4x4. I think the wheels are 7.5?? The OEM tires are 235/75 17 and 255/70-17. I'm wanting to go fairlly wide without making them look like balloons. Any advice??? Pics would be great!

I got 285/75/16 on the stock 16x7 rims on my 97'.

i know if you put a 2.5" leveling kit on your truck you can fit 305/70/17 (34x12x17)on stock rims cause I did for a about a month

I don't want to really increase the height or throw my speedo off either. Just want to go wider.
