5x135mm. Note, that is not the same as 5x5.5".

No. 135mm is about 5.32". Just look for 5x135mm wheels.

Actually, unless you grind the calipers, you can not use 15". 16" is the smallest.

Opps, that's what I meant. No 15" wheels, or smaller than 16". Thanks!

RIght. Your bolt pattern is 5x135mm. Nothing else will fit. You also have to use a 16 inch or larger wheel.

Now I need help!

I was looking on here to confirm my lug pattern as well. I also have a 98 F150 3 door 4.2 and was told by Big O tire that I had a 5 on 5 pattern. (they told me without looking at it) I noticed that the guys on here said it was 5 x 135 mm and I kind of figured they were the same until now. Now I'm confused. Are they not the same?

They are not the same. Ford hasn't used a 5x5" for decades, if ever. They used to use a 5x5.5", then in 97 switched to 5x135mm (about 5x5.32"). Now they are using 6x135mm on the 04 up.

Not sure what the Rangers use, it may be 5x5", but I doubt it.

Thanks for helping me on that.
I'm getting a deal on a set of 16" x 8" rims but they are only available with a 5" backspace. What is the difference between a backspace measurement and an offset? Also, how far out do you thing these will sit on that truck?

Thanks bud, you've helped me alot. I'm a pro when it comes to vehicle wiring, custom aftermarket electronics and troubleshooting, as well as body & paint.
This whole thing caught me off guard. Thanks again!
