2.5" levelling kit

well tonight i finally did it and bought a 2.5" levelling kit for my 2004 f150 4x4. now i am having second thoughts about it because someone told me it would sit up higher in the front. but on with my question

what size tires can i run with my stock 17" rims once my truck is levelled?

35's will be your limit...but you most likely get some rubbing at full lock.

I have a 2.5" kit and mine sits perfectly level. If you look/ask here, most of the guys running the 2.5" kit have trucks that sit level. As for tires, I'd stick to 33's. This way, if you decide to get after market wheels, you can do so without worrying about rubbing. I say: "Go for it" You'll love the look.

I believe that it sits level...but the way the wheel wells are shaped, the lines of the truck make it look like the front sits higher. Add-a-leafs will take care of that though...

Check out my gallery.

On your stock 17" wheels you can run up to 35x12.5x17's but they may have minor rubbing on the control arms. A 285 or 295x70x17 will clear easily!

Weaver, I know you Bama guy's like mud tires if so check out the Maxxis Buckshot's in a 285x70x17 also they make a 305x70x17 these are nice tires at a low price and would look great on a leveled truck. Just a thought!

Mine leveled out 39 3/4" in front and back both now an 5K ago when I installed it.

My gallery has pics of 35x12.5x17s on stock 17s.
