Trash Man

I have an 04 FX4 with stock 275/65/18 tires and wheels. What is the biggest size tire I can put on my stock rims? I drive on gravel roads and I am concerned if I go too big I wil throw too much gravel!

You can fit 35's on your oem wheels with a leveling kit or 33's with aftermarket wheels.

i would go with a 285/65/18, almost 33" i am running this setup on my 04 fx4 and have not had a single problem.
tire suggestions:
1. toyo open country a/t or m/t
2. nitto terra grapplers
3. bfg a/t or m/t

they are a bit pricey with the 18" wheel. my toyo a/t's were $245 apiece.

Keeping the tires on the stock wheels will help keep rock's and road splash inside the wheelwells. I had the same problem.

Also, tread design has a lot to do with how many rocks are thrown. I can tell you from experience that BFG AT KO's sling small rocks bad.
