question about BFG 305/65 18 KOs

Hey guys I need a little positive reinforcement here. I just got a set of 305 installed yesterday on my stock 18" FX4 rims. The guy at the tire shop has me all freaked out though. He says that with our stock 7.5" wide rim its really dangerous to run the 305 and I will be wearing the tires out extremely fast due to the added stress on the side walls. He wasnt going to mount them but I talked them into it based on all the info I have read here. Is there any merit to what this guy told me? I really dont want to ruin my new $1200 tires.....help

A lot of guy's run larger tires than that on stock wheels with no problem. I'm running 315's on 8" wheels and they ride and handle better than on my 9" wide wheels. You'll be OK, get some pics up!

Thanks guys that makes me feel better.
I will take some pictures tonight and try and post them tomorrow.
As for the exhaust, it sounds great. Nice deep rumble. You get a little drone in the cab when its under load but not bad at all. I get a lot of comments about the big exhaust tip people seem to like it.

One member at FTW just replaced his 315/70-17 BFG AT KO's which he had mounted on oem 17x7.5 inch wheels. I believe he got about 60,000 miles out of them.
Just keep an eye on your air pressure. Sometimes running a tire on too narrow of a wheel will cause the center portion of the tread to wear slightly faster than normal. I'd try 35 to 40 psi for daily driving.
