if i am not mistaken, a p-rated tire, although it has a lower load rating stamped on the tire it has a actual higher load rating than an LT tire with teh same load rating stamp, the tire manufacturers actually are required to do this by the govt......due to the fact that it is manufactured for Passengers and creates more safety for the "passenger" than actually stated. Correct me if I am wrong.

Actually, on a p series tire, the rating stamped on the tire is higher than the tire is rated for on a truck.
Just about ever tire manufacturer has the following on their web sites.
* Passenger sizes used in Light Truck/SUV applications have reduced load capacity. This will differ from the maximum load branded on the tire sidewall.
Quoted from BFG.

alright, thanks, that makes sense, I think that is what it was, I remember being taken back when I heard it and it was that a p-series tire has a higher load capacity rating than LT rated tire and I had figured the other way around.

Good year makes one good AT. I have them in 35's and are diggin em. The reason i went with them is because my college is far away from SAtown and i need a tire that will last for now
