I have a 2000 Expedition and recently bought a set of EBC 7000 series brake pads.

Both front rotors were a little worn and the EBC pads simply wouldn't fit.

Incidently, both calipers needed replacing so I did that as well.
The pads didn't fit with either the old or new calipers.
Fwiw, I did compress the old calipers. The new calipers were already compressed.


Has anyone else ever had to grind down their New brake pads to get them to fit?

 

ive never heard of needing to grind the pads down.

when i did mine, i had a small lip on the rotor that needed to get grinded down that was from where the pads were too far to the center of the rotror and werent all the way to the end of the rotor.
